Virginia’s premier ear, nose and throat specialists and eye specialists have joined together to offer you surgical services at the area’s first free-standing surgery center. The Surgery Center was designed to minimize the stress associated with traditional surgery settings. In addition, the surgery center is accredited by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) – the most prestigious and highest level of accreditation for ambulatory surgery centers. To qualify, rigid standards must be met in patient safety, emergency equipment, anesthesia, instrumentation, procedural policy and quality control.
Our board-certified otolaryngologists are supported at the Surgery Center by a team of anesthesiologists board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiologists. Together with certified registered nurse anesthetists, our Anesthesia Care Team delivers the highest quality of anesthesia services for elective and emergency adult and pediatric surgery. In addition, the pediatric anesthesia services were developed and directed by an anesthesiologist with board certification in both pediatrics and anesthesia. The nursing staff is certified in both advanced cardiac and pediatric life support.
